The ISO3086T is a 20Mbps full-duplex 2.5kVrms isolated RS-485/RS-422 transceiver with integrated transformer driver
The ISO3086T is an isolated AZ75232GTR-G1 differential line transceiver with an integrated oscillator output that supplies the primary voltage to the isolation transformer. The device is a full-duplex differential line transceiver for RS-485 and RS-422 applications that can be easily configured as a half-duplex by connecting pin 11 to pin 14 and pin 12 to pin 13 work operation.
These devices are ideal for long transmission lines because the ground return is broken to allow a larger common-mode voltage range. The device's symmetrical isolation barrier is tested to provide 1 minute of isolation per VDE at 4242 V PK between the bus transceiver and the logic level interface.
Any wired I/O can be affected by electrical noise transients from various sources. If these noise transients are of sufficient magnitude and duration, they can damage the transceiver and/or nearby sensitive circuitry. These isolation devices can significantly enhance protection and reduce the risk of damage to expensive control circuits.
ISO3086T is specified for use in the temperature range of –40°C to 85°C.
