The MAX17643 is a 4.5V–60V, 2A, high-efficiency, synchronous step-down DC-DC converter with internal compensation

The imalaya family of regulator ICs, power modules and chargers enables cooler, smaller and simpler power solutions. The MAX17643 high-efficiency, high-voltage, Himalayan synchronous step-down DC-DC converter integrates MOSFETs and operates from a 4.5V to 60V input range. The AD650KN converter can source up to 2A and generate 0.9V to (0.9 x V IN)V. The feedback (FB) voltage is accurate to ±1.4% from -40°C to +125°C. Built-in compensation over the output voltage range eliminates the need for external components. The MAX17643 uses a peak-current-mode control architecture that operates in a fixed-frequency forced PWM mode. The current-limit setting of the MAX17643 allows the device to deliver up to 2A of peak load current. This enables the device to support pulsed load applications such as communication modules with minimal output voltage drop. The MAX17643 has a short minimum on-time, enabling high switching frequencies and a small solution size.

The device is available in a 12-pin (3mm × 3mm) TDFN package. Provides simulation models.
